CALPROFEN Ibuprofen Suspension 200ml

CALPROFEN^® Ibuprofen Suspension brings down high temperature (also called fever) and relieves pain such as muscular pain, headache, teething pain, toothache, sore throat and symptoms of cold and flu.

This product is intended for use in children aged 3 months to 12 years.

For Pain and Fever: Infants 3-6 months, weighing over 5kg: One 2.5 ml dose may be taken 3 times a day. Do not use for more than 24 hours; Infants 6-12 months: 2.5ml three times a day; Children 1-2 years: 2.5ml three to four times a day; Children 3-7 years: 5ml three to four times a day; Children 8-12 years: 10ml three to four times a day.

Post-immunisation fever: 2.5ml (50mg) followed by one further 2.5ml (50mg) dose six hours later if necessary. No more than 2 doses in 24 hours. Leave 6 – 8 hours between dose.

Each 5 ml of Oral Suspension contains 100 mg of Ibuprofen, Also contains: Glycerol (E422), xanthan gum, maltitol syrup (Lycasin 80/55 (E965)), polysorbate 80, saccharin sodium (E954), citric acid monohydrate, sodium methylhydroxybenzoate (E219), sodium propylhydroxybenzoate (E217), purified water and, strawberry flavour (containing propylene glycol (E1520) and ethanol).

Ibuprofen belongs to a group of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inammatory painkillers (NSAIDs). The Ibuprofen in CALPROFEN® is used as an analgesic for relief of mild to moderate muscular pain, symptomatic relief of headache, earache, dental pain, backache and relieves the symptoms of cold and flu. It can also be used in minor injuries such as sprains and strains. CALPROFEN® also brings down a high temperature including post-immunisation fever.
