Treatment of mild to moderate pain, post-immunisation pyrexia, rheumatic or muscular pain, headache, reduction of fever, sore throat, teething pain, toothache, minor aches and pains, symptoms of cold and influenza.

CALPROFEN® 100mg/5ml Oral Suspension Ibuprofen brings down high temperature (also called fever) and relieves pain such as muscular pain, headache, teething pain, toothache, sore throat and symptoms of cold and flu.

Ibuprofen belongs to a group of medicines called non-steroidal anti-inammatory painkillers (NSAIDs). This medicine is used for the relief of pain from teething and toothache, sore throat, headache, symptoms of colds and inuenza, minor muscular pains and aches. It can also be used for the reduction of temperature and post-immunisation fever.

This product is intended for use in children aged 3 months to 12 years.

For Pain and Fever: Infants 3-6 months, weighing over 5kg: One 2.5 ml dose may be taken 3 times a day. Do not use for more than 24 hours; Infants 6-12 months: 2.5ml three times a day; Children 1-2 years: 2.5ml three to four times a day; Children 3-7 years: 5ml three to four times a day; Children 8-12 years: 10ml three to four times a day.

Post-immunisation fever: 2.5ml (50mg) followed by one further 2.5ml (50mg) dose six hours later if necessary. No more than 2 doses in 24 hours. Leave 6 – 8 hours between dose.

Each 5 ml of Oral Suspension contains 100 mg of Ibuprofen, Also contains: Glycerol (E422), xanthan gum, maltitol syrup (Lycasin 80/55 (E965)), polysorbate 80, saccharin sodium (E954), citric acid monohydrate, sodium methylhydroxybenzoate (E219), sodium propylhydroxybenzoate (E217), purified water and, strawberry flavour (containing propylene glycol (E1520) and ethanol).
