Infants’ MOTRIN® Concentrated Drops Dosage 

DOSE: Every 6 to 8 hours as needed. DO NOT GIVE MORE THAN 4 DOSES IN 24 HOURS. If possible, use weight to dose; otherwise, use age.

Active ingredient: ibuprofen (NSAID)* 50 mg (in each 1.25 mL) 

mL = milliliter 

*Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug. 

 

Children’s MOTRIN® Oral Suspension Dosage 

DOSE: Every 6 to 8 hours as needed. DO NOT GIVE MORE THAN 4 DOSES IN 24 HOURS. If possible, use weight to dose; otherwise, use age.

Active ingredient: ibuprofen (NSAID)* 100 mg (in each 5 mL) 

mL = milliliter 

*Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug. 

 

Children’s MOTRIN® Chewables Dosage 

DOSE: Chew or crush tablets completely before swallowing. Repeat every 6 to 8 hours as needed. DO NOT GIVE MORE THAN 4 DOSES IN 24 HOURS. If possible, use weight to dose; otherwise, use age.

Active ingredient: ibuprofen (NSAID)* 100 mg (in each chewable tablet)

*Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR PROPER USE

• Always read and follow the label on all MOTRIN® products.

• Repeat dose every 6-8 hours as needed.

• Do NOT give more than 4 doses in 24 hours.

• Use only the dosage device (syringe or dosage cup) that came with the product.

    Do not use any other dosage device.

MOTRIN® IB Caplets Dosage

DOSE: 1 caplet every 4 to 6 hours while symptoms persist; if pain or fever does not respond to 1 caplet, 2 caplets may be used. Do not exceed 6 caplets in 24 hours, unless directed by a doctor.

Active ingredient: ibuprofen (NSAID)* 200 mg (in each caplet)

*Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug.

 

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR PROPER USE 
• Always read and follow the label on all MOTRIN® products. 

• Repeat dose every 4-6 hours as needed. 

• Do NOT give more than 6 caplets in 24 hours.
