REACTINE® Fast Melt® Junior

Orally disintegrating tablets. For relief of seasonal allergy symptoms in kids 6 years and up.

Temporarily relieves symptoms associated with seasonal allergic rhinitis:

  • Runny nose 

  • Sneezing 

  • Tearing and redness of the eye  

  • Itching due to allergic reactions such as hives

Active Ingredient (in each tablet):
Cetirizine HCl 10 mg  

Inactive Ingredients:
Amino methacrylate copolymer, anhydrous citric acid, colloidal silicon dioxide, crospovidone, flavors, hydroxypropyl cellulose, magnesium stearate, mannitol, microcrystalline cellulose, sodium bicarbonate, sodium starch glycolate, sucralose

Directions:

Children 6-12 years of age
One 10 mg orally disintegrating tablet, once daily

Severe skin reactions such as generalized exanthematous pustulosis (AGEP) have been reported very rarely with cetirizine-containing products. This may exhibit an early or delayed onset with numerous small, mostly non-follicular pustules on the skin. Patients should be carefully monitored. Patients should discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional if symptoms persist, worsen, or if new symptoms occur.

REACTINE® is contraindicated in patients who have ever had an allergic reaction to this product or any of its ingredients or to an antihistamine containing hydroxyzine, or to piperazine derivatives, or in patients with severe renal impairment (less than 10 mL/min clearance).

Patients should be advised to not use REACTINE® with sedating substances and some other medications including: anti-anxiety medications, sleep aids, antihistamines, antidepressants, muscle relaxants, or prescription analgesics.

The most common side effects in placebo-controlled pediatric trials were: headache (11.2% REACTINE® 5 mg; 12.5% REACTINE® 10 mg), abdominal pain (4.4% REACTINE® 5 mg; 6.3% REACTINE® 10 mg), pharyngitis (6.2% REACTINE® 5 mg; 4.2% REACTINE® 10 mg), coughing (4.4% REACTINE® 5 mg; 3.5% REACTINE® 10 mg), epistaxis (3.7% REACTINE® 5 mg; 2.8% REACTINE® 10 mg), somnolence (1.9% REACTINE® 5 mg; 4.2% REACTINE® 10 mg), and nausea (1.9% REACTINE® 5 mg; 4.2% REACTINE® 10 mg).

Overdose has been reported with REACTINE®. For management of a suspected overdose, your patient should contact their regional Poison Control Centre.
